I think you're still expecting it to work like a video card. This is completely different technology. The videos are really cool, but perhaps you can only fully appreciate them with a development background. Alot of the stuff in the videos reminded me of the physics system in Black and White, but mu...

I didn't see any videos... Hmm will have to look for those. Anyway, I wouldn't expect to see too many videos of it yet. Not only is it still years from completion, but its also not a video card. The PPU isn't designed to improve the look of a game, but rather the feel, and potentially the depth and ...

PPU's would also take away alot of the processor demand on things like flamethrower effects. So, if all this PPU stuff is established and in use by the time UT2k7 comes out, we may be able to give the Chaos flamethrower another crack, by using physics instead of relying on a particle-nightmare. What...

If you want to know what a PPU is and just how far it can take the next generation of games, check out this article: http://www.devhardware.com/c/a/Video-Cards/Physics-Processing-Unit/ I've heard some pretty fantastic things in addition to this too, such as the ability to realistically model explosi...

With the upcoming PPU technology, we may not have to wait too long for realistic physics simulation in FPS gaming. Rumor has it, Ut2007 is being designed to support the new hardware... I think at that point, we can start to consider a bendy grapple. I know I for one will be one of the first to acqui...

What I would prefer is that its speed is actually about the same as the manta and maybe less maneuverable. IMO, it should not be as good as any other vehicle. When you spawn, you should want to go for an actual vehicle, and then if you can't get one, at least you can get a hoverboard. Hey, it's not ...

I think the hoverboard should not be treated as a combat vehicle. It should be designed to fix the issue where a person becomes stranded in vCTF when all of the available vehicles have been taken already. It's not designed to fight, like the other vehicles, but at least it can get you to where the a...

I've bound the grapple functions to my mouse. I just use the grapple on/off. Sometimes its nice to start the retracting again, but not useful enough for me to bind a key to it. If it was combined with another function, like duck or jump, then I'd use it. I have a 5-button mouse, so I can do quite a ...
