Hurm, no, my CD key is valid!!

After installing this mod, i can still play normal UT2k4, but when i go to community, then load up this, the window closes, then a new one tryed to open, but then a box pops up saying 'The CD your using is invalid. To fix this get a new CD key and reinstall your game', or words to that effect.
But my CD key obviously is valid, else i wouldn't be able to play it online normally(which i can :S)
If you can make any sense of that, please help

Did you download the zip file or the umod file?

zip, i just copy/pasted the files i saw into their relevent directories, including those 2 files that are meant for the 'system' folder

Yea we have heard about this effecting some mods but never shure on the cause. The fix is also up in the air as some work for some and not others. You could be to try to re-install UT2k4,the last patch and the ECE right over the top. You will not loose any data so any mod you have installed will be fine....

ok, ill probably try that when i get some time. Could trying the umod file fix this?

You mean like this, right?

in the manual I wrote:ChaosUT2 has it's own folder within UT2004, and inside there all Chaos files are put in their respective subfolders - with the exception of two files, which go in the standard UT2004\System folder.

ukx = UT2004\ChaosUT2\Animations
ut2 = UT2004\ChaosUT2\Maps
uax = UT2004\ChaosUT2\Sounds
ini = UT2004\ChaosUT2\System
u = UT2004\ChaosUT2\System
usx = UT2004\ChaosUT2\Static Meshes
utx = UT2004\ChaosUT2\Textures
ogg = UT2004\ChaosUT2\Music
ChaosGames.ucl = UT2004\ChaosUT2\System

ChaosUT2.ucl = UT2004\System
int = UT2004\System

EDIT : Scratch that, its working, but rather than going into communty to get it to work, i have to just go on join game > browse servers > then clikc that thing which shows ONS, AS etc, and it lists all the chaos servers too
Ah well, at least its worked

that aint right,you sure you copied all that had to be in /UT2004/Chaosut2 not /UT2004
