Hiya Hexem!

I'm not the best one to ask.... but maybe it can't find Chaos.
Have you double-checked to see that the install put the files in the right places? You should now have a folder named "chaos" beneath your Quake2 folder with several folders within it.

My chaos shortcut reads: D:\Quake2\quake2.exe +set game Chaos
If yours is different or longer, it's only the \Quake2\quake2.exe +set game Chaos part that should be the same.

I'm no guru in these forums but this is a starter for you until someone who knows more can jump in.

More info from your side would be good too... :) like....
-Are you running Quake2 version 3.20?
- cut 'n paste your shortcut commandline for us...
- Do you run other Quake2 mods or is Chaos your first?
... the better you describe the problem the faster we can fix it :)

The 14Mb file you downloaded was Chaos version 1.12 I think. You might also consider getting the most current version V1.14beta. There's a link to it also from the ChaosDM downloads page.

Hi again Hexem

There's nothing wrong with that command line at all.
If all of the Chaos files installed properly I think all you need to do is update your Quake2 to version 3.20 and you'll be playin' Chaos :)
