Ok, maybe 'cos I am a Brit.... maybe because I haven't logged into here in a long while.... (Virgin post)
A couple of questions, if I may trouble you guys....
Has the URL changed permanently? I tried the http://bbs.chaoticdreams.org - no joy.
Also,
what do people prefer- Chaos on UT, or Quake2?
I've managed to download the mod @ work- need to burn it onto CD & bring home. I don't get chance to play online much, but wondered what everybody elses thought's were.
Currently use a P2 233, ATI All in wonder 8mb card, 400+mb Ram, 56k modem
Also use the AMD K6-2 400, 356mb ram (most the board will take!) with an ATI 32mb card (both cards have TV out)- use the p2 to dial up and share (only 1 playing at once when online- get stupid pings as it is!)
Comments?
Regards,
Andy

DUCK!- Here comes another brainless newbie!
Well, it depends on what you're asking. I found that ChaosUT was the better game, however the multiplayer for me was laggy as, well, someone on a 14.4. CDM for Q2, on the other hand, though somewhat inferior (though not by much) to ChaosUT, the multiplayer ability is much smoother, and actually acts like my connection would infer (cable in an area where not many people have it).
So, I cannot answer your poll, and merely abstain.

I was normal once. I didn't like it.
Are you trying to say us Brits are thick or something?? ...
I used to run Q2 Chaos on a P2 400 with 128mb ram, geoforce card, 56k dialup etc etc.. Ran no problem. Yeah maybe the pings were in the 330+ (in fact still are) but it was still very playable.
Q2 still rules for me (sorry CUT) Q3 Chaos should change that (if ever?)
Give it a go, see ya online.
