Possible Bugs
I'm having the exact same problem as Star Gazer. (Your weapon is permanently stuck as the Bastard Sword.) The problem affects only the player on the hosting machine (listen or dedicated,) for some odd reason. I'm fairly certain the problem is not on my end as I did a completely fresh install of UT20...
