Thank you all for the advice, I made a new version which seems to work much better, I'll upload it when I find a place with some bandwidth. And I'll try replacing the meshes with brushes when I have some time. Though I thought that static meshes had less incremental overhead...

I'll try that. And I made the meshes just by converting a brush.

Chainsaw would be great for melee duel. Make is real slow and damaging, with extra blood spray and smoke.

Oh and I have some other questions: Does anyone know how to make a volume block the chaos napalm effect? I have tried blocking players, actors, karma, nothing seems to prevent the napalm from sinking to the bottom of the sea. And how do I get the volumes to kill players instantly without gibbing the...

You have already made that point, and I agreed with you. Though I hardly think it is too lethal, lunge attacks are difficult to time and judging the distance isn't easy either.

I'm guessing its supposed to be an exaggerated foreward lunge, which makes sense in a swordfighting mod. Dodges go in the air and thus can easily cause you to swing right over your opponent's head. Also the foreward dodge isn't very fast and can be easily dodged. The lunge definately has a place in ...

The smoke is my own addition, as I feel it adds a lot to the atmosphere. I will try reducing its density, but I'm not sure it is the only problem (though since I have no way to test it on a radeon, I can't be sure). I wonder if the large number of static meshes has anything to do with it. I could al...

Really? It ran a bit slow on my computer but I didn't expect it to be that bad. Perhaps I have too many smoke emitters, which is too bad because it looked real nice.

My first map: Duel-Monkeypoles

If you have ever seen the last fight scene in the movie "Iron Monkey" then you should have some idea as to what I am going for here. It is very rough at this point (not to mention my first attempt at making a playable map) and I am currently looking for people to help me test it, since it ...

Health Keg = Bad imo. Especially when there is no way to keep enemies away from it, like in all the maps that have it now. I think if it stays in it should spawn only once per round at most.

I thought movement was too fast as well, then I got skilled :) Seriously though, its not too bad once you get used to it and learn how to aim and time your attacks properly, thats the challenge of the game. The same could easily be said about any fast paced video game.

An occasional bug: Sometimes the animation for an attack will not play, but the sound effect does fire and the motion blur trail appears, with the attack still hitting the enemy. This tells me that it is not a lag issue and the client portion of the program is aware of the attack, otherwise there sh...

It seems like the larger weapons (hammer, mace, axe) have a tendancy to somtimes hit as soon as the attack button is pressed. I would hazard to guess that this is because their hit-zone sticks out in front of the player a bit (if I understood the manual correctly). And as I have observed that weapon...
