I think the stationary turrets need a shot in the arm. Their lasers should be continuous fire like link secondary weapon and cause lots of momentum like the shock rifle, so as to say get the hell away from what I'm defending. + it would be real good at killing redeemers and incoming avrils that way....

yeah, seriously! That could definately be worth something since besides the manta there is little dedicated anti-infantry vehicles, that are very effective against infantry but weak vs vehicles. And you have this idea of a defense field vehicle, perhaps a futuristic semi with a large radiation field...
