Yea, I found my quake 2 cd just a few days ago. Thought about installing it but I have been too busy.

The ChaosUT2.log file would be in the same directory as the ini.
X/UT2004/ChaosUT2/System

If there is no ini, there might not be a log file either... but check anyways.

I think you can force the map to load a specific mutator, in this case the Chaos Weapons mutator with the crossbow specified as the special weapon. Jb might have better details on that.

From his first post, it sounded like he did run it and there was no ini file.

You can google it to see what it is and there are howto's for disabling it.

You may needed to disable the Vista UAC (User Access Control) temporarily while you install the mod. It has sometimes weird effects with game installations. If that happens to be the problem that causes no ini to be created, let us know.

Not aware of anything that'd do this. It wouldn't be too hard to make something that does this.

However, since archives typically have different directory structures, I'm not sure it would be useful to mass decompress all of them at the same time. You'd end up with a directory mess.

I have all the CUT1 and CDM files, and a decent pipe to upload them on. If you want to provide me with access.

We don't have any coders that would be good for this...

Since the enteree's number in one, I say drop the idea.

Its the idle period between UT2004 and UT3. i.e., we're doing things that will probably be released for UT3.
