Weird problem after upgrading to latest 3.6

Weird problem after upgrading to latest 3.6

I don't know if I did anything out of order, but I had the UT2004 DVD Editors edition with Chaos UT and everything seemed to work fine. I upgraded to the latest 3.6 using the FULL download not a patch and now I get NO melee animation whatsoever with the bastard sword. Everything else looks and work fine from what I can tell but when I use the sword, I hear the swinging sounds and I get the third person view from behind but my character doesn't "swing" the sword like it did in the previous version.
Any ideas?

Are you running any other muts? Also maybe lets take a peak at your chaosut2.log file to see if there are other issues going round.

As far as running additional muts, I don't think I am. I am a UT2004 newbie so I don't really get too fancy with mods. I just remember playing Chaos on Quake 2 and thought I would give it a shot on UT2004. Here is my log file. Looking at it, I guess there are some problems. I have done the latest updates that I thought I needed. The patch to 3355 and the ut2004-ecebonuspack1-1.exe patch because I had a startup error after I upgraded to 3.6. I saw a post that said I needed to do that bonuspack1-1 patch. Chaos then started up but I immediatley noticed the sword problem. Looks like I am missing some files. What is the best way to fix this?

Did you delete the old version of CUT before installing over?

whats the size of the animations folder...

try deleting the ChaosUT2.ini and ChaosUT2user.ini(UT2004/chaosut2/system)

My animations directory is 27MB exactly (12 files no folders) and I didn't delete the old ChaosUT folder, I just installed right over the top of it.
After deleting those two .ini files you mentioned, I fired up the game and now my character animations are working with the bastard sword!
Thank you both for the help. It appears as though it is working now.

I looked at the log file and I don't have that animation error but I still have these errors. How can I correct this?

the simple way is to search for a file named UWRC-LostGods.ut2 and delete it,its a map that doesnt have all the files needed,so it doesnt show up and just gives you a log error on every boot
