ChaosUT in rotation on a server
I'm running a server with lots and lots of mods, and I don't like to force people to download them until they are played. Luckily, when a gametype is running, it usually pushes stuff automatically, I only have to add mutators to serverpackages. Anyway, I have a couple problems:
ChaosUT duel is set up in LMS mode, but it only goes up to 8 players.
I want to make all the other chaos gametypes melee only; Weaponoption=0 in the commandline doesn't work.
I can't use webadmin because of the too many things in voting crashes it bug; but I did remove some stuff with the voting menu to check out the options for CTF and DM, there was no way to make it melee only. Does anyone know what to add to the UT2004.ini to make it so?
I'll probably need to do [ChaosGames.ChaosxDeathMatch] and then something after that?

Glad you found the switch. And no you can not use the melee for other game types The reason is more of a techincal. To use this melee you have to replace certian parts of the code, and these could and do cause issues with some custom gametypes. So we had to modify these gametypes to ensure that they work correctly with the melee...

However, sometimes, the bots just run away from you like you're holding a relic of vengence and have only 1 health...

Its more of a design choice. Back when Duel only had a one-one option we felt best to limit the players in order to keep the wait time down. As when you died in the one on one. You would have to wait for 6/7 rounds before it was your turn again. If we had say 16 slots. The monster only work with in the HH gametype correctly. Summoning them in another gametype may not work well...They require special controllers, ectheheman3000 wrote:What do I need to do to summon the Chaos monsters ? BTW, if they run away from you, just set them to godlike... they're still relatively easy to beat, but at least they come at you instead of embarking on the great search of the gravity belt...
