yes unfortunatly are the 2 ini files essential?

Neill,
every time UT2k4 starts it will make or update the ut2004.ini file. And every time you run chaosut2.ini you should have one either created or updated.
The ut2004.in should be in your UT2004\system folder
and the Chaosut2.ini should be in your UT2004\chaosut2\system folder
So please check again and see if they are there.
Also can you post your log file one more time so we can see what if any changes that happened?

ok i finally found thewm i didnt realize they were a text style file so rename them and see what happens?
