Chaotic Dreams

i cant get the chaos2k4 mod to start i can use the muts and weapons but i cant get to the mod menu or anyplace like that so im stuck with the same settings.

a little help here

did you use the start chaos file or just the ut2004 file?

both i even used the .bat file
nothing startes it like it should i just get the same ut2k4 menu

does it show up in UT2004's main menu community>game mods section?

if not,do you have a folder ChaosUT2 in your UT2004 directory?

i have the folder and its there in the comuilty area

what i dont get is that i can use all the weapons skins and maps but no relics vehicle or online and... i cant duel

Can you verify that the

'ChaosTex_007'

texture file does indeed exist in the chaosut2\texture folder?

We have seen this error before and its usally caused by one of two things:

1) Some other file that is causing a conflict (usally a old UCL file from another mod/skin/ect). The log would say something about which other files its having problems with and removing those files has fixed the issue.


2) Re-install UT2k4. As much as I hate to say it, but if the files that UT2k4 is complaining about (in this case 'ChaosTex_007') are there and you can find them, then there is an issue with UT2k4 itself. You can try to remove the UT2004.ini, user.ini, chaosut2.ini and chaosut2user.ini, run it again and see if the newly generated INIs will fix the issue but that does not seem to work all the time. But a re-install has... The nice thing is you can re-install right over the top of your current UT2k4 dir and still keep your mods/maps/ect....
