Chaos CTF crashes to desktop

Not long ago, I installed the latest version of the ChaosUT2 mod, and I love it!

There's just one thing wrong: Whenever I try to start a CTF botmatch, it crashes to desktop the moment I start a game and move.

Note: I have tried this in both 32 and 64 bit modes (I play 64 bit mode most often), with identical results.

Any suggestions? I'd really like to play the "Death Valley" map!

Thanks for playing, sorry you're having trouble. I hope you can forgive my delay in response, but try to understand... we've been , well , 'idle' here for some time now, and I don't respond to posts on a daily basis for some time now. In addition, the more time goes by, the less details I remember off the top of my head on solving various UT issues. Used to have all this stuff in the very forefront of my mind, but as time goes by... and we all get older...

anyway, if you're still wanting to play ... this sounds very much like a simple install issue to me. You mention that you have the latest CUT2, but do you also have the latest UT2004 patch AND the ECE bonus pack installed?

BTW - Your Episode 2.9 sounds interesting. Maybe if you get this up and running, it'll inspire a Part II. ;p

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I just noticed you'd posted (by following the link from my own blog's stats page)...

To answer your question, yes, I do have the latest patch and the ECE Bonus pack.

The maps themselves work fine, it's when I try to use them with the CUT2 weapons that it crashes.

And you're right. I'm definitely going to be using both Chaos Bastion and Death Valley in the story...
