IT's nice to see more servers coming back for ChaosDM they were getting to be fewer and fewer. Thanks for the oppurtunity to have choices, hope to see ya there (I'll be the one you CAN'T miss )

IMO: Q2Admin v1.17 with a forced reconnect is the best Q2 bot protection. So far I've only seen false positives when a player has serious lag... like 1000+

Thanx for the servers, looks like I'm going to ping well there too

I think I just crashed your Chaos of Hell server though with about 50 proxies and 3 turrets up. Can't ping it now anyway. I think it was also stuck on Jailhouse Frag but not sure.

The East Coast Chaos server starts you without a grappling hook. I really hope this is an oversight!

Getting the newest file (gamex86.dll) will make the servers more stable.... Download the CHAOS V1.14b4 server update from the Q2Chaos download page

Just popped into the East Coast Chaos server and noticed that there's no cells on startup either. The map was ChaosDm4 (Jump) and I was -1 before I knew it
no hook.
no belt.
no Chaos.

Please reconsider your server setup, I don't think too many people will want to play there the way it is. I'd suggest adding the following lines to your server settings config file for starters:

set start_grapple 1
set start_ammo_cells 50 //(at least!)
set start_godmode_for_Lothar_only yup //*

* this mode is optional and untested

As for startup weapons? I'm not too fussy. Haven't even noticed yet what you've given us.
No matter tho - we always seem to make do with what's around. It's the lack of hook and belt that are making your servers at the moment.

Thx for the servers, seem to have loads now (all with 0 players )

When I connected to Michele's Chaos Of Hell it kept changing my FOV to 90. Is this because it is an old Chaos version running? Didn't try Eastcoast Chaos, could this be the same?

Also, please please set grapple at startup, can't live without that

Not so bothered with the cells, quite like running along the ground for a change (just have to look out for these little blighters tho heheh )

Thanks for the servers....I was on last night and its the best pinging server for me, considering I'm now on a joyous 28.8 connection With some cells, grappling hook and a few startups (rail, rocket, ex bows, but I know CAPS don't prefer startups...HOMIES does though hehehehehe) woohooo...its a hot one...OUCH!! Thanx again...you'll see me there...

Yeah an upgrade to version 1.14 will solve the destroyed weapon problem. Set start_grapple 1 in the settings.cfg will solve the grappling hook problem. As for startup items... thats optional.
