yeah, very unusual to get skewered in the chest. Its a shame - and the last thing he would have wanted as he was often promoting teh gentle nature of the the animals he was working with.
a good entertainer, but alas, i did kinda suspect he might eventually get caught off guard. he will be missed.

He was apparently the 19th person to be killed by a stingray in the past century. Of all the animals that he worked with, this one has the lowest mortality rate...
