UT2003 resurrection

Post by [=Kain607=] »

Hay all. What's up? I'm new here as you can clearly see, but i have been a fan of Unreal tournament for about a year and a half now. And I've been playing a lot of UT2003 and getting quite good. But not as good to compete with any of you pros out there, but i have a question. When will Chaotic Dreams be reviving the UT2003 game? I mean it may be old, and I'm sure many of you have already gone to UT2004 and the upcoming UT2007. But why not revive UT2003 for a little while, just to play in the old game Envierments. Or how ever you spell the word, but I'm sure some of you know what I'm talking about don't you? Well anyway, i was thinking of having UT2003 come back for a short time making it sort of like new again.

New maps, with different places to go and places to hide. For the sniper lovers out there.

New weapons, for those who do not wish to see UT2003 die out completely. I do have some 3D models of some weapons i have been working on, but there not implementable in to the game because there designed by my self using a program known as Wings3D, and i dont know much about programing them or implementing them in to the map or game.

New Mods, for the mod users out there and for those who like the mods and some liget maps out there that have been made to serve as a normal clean map so those who like to play fair with out any problems of cheating, hacking, botting, or what ever can play in a worry free envierment. I would keep an extreme eye on any of the servers i would create.

But i really don't wish to see a game that was made after the first two UT games that started the whole universe of UT die. Well i hope that some of you would understand what I'm talking about and i hope some of you might take my question to heart. Thank you all for taking the time to listen to my idea..

Why don't you just move on to UT2004? It's exactly like UT2003, but with more!

Although I admit that UT2003 was fun. Instagib BR at 1.5 speed sucked away so many hours of my life.

There is virtually no reason to revive UT2003 since UT2004 is just about the same game with newer content.

for the record UT2004 = UT2003 + 2/3 new gametypes and some maps, and a different menu system/singleplayer.
I make Darth Vader look like a teenage punk with a lightsaber.

What they're saying is that gameplay-wise, UT2004 is nothing more than UT2003 with about 100 more maps, vehicles, 3 new gametypes (Onslaught, Assault, and vCTF, each with vehicle support), 4 new weapons (AVRiL, Grenade Launcher, Mine Thrower, and Sniper Rifle), and a bunch of new player models.

They also added Dual ARs and improved single-player, but those are less interesting.
