GameSpy/Fileplanet sucks!!! Why? I can tell you!

Since days I try to download DM-CUT_Eclipse from Fileplanet. It failed
many times - so I'm gone to Google to search it on another Website -
that failed , too - but I know why! Because GameSpy acquires to the
"products" of other websites because they think on Fileplanet their
software (Maps/Mods/etc.) will be downloaded much more - because
it's sooooooo popular - but what if that fails ? - Then you haven't got
another choice anymore - so you're helpless - and that's not only with
CUT - I tried to download mods/mutators/maps but some of them
are only available on Fileplanet - but if it fails, I'm f**ked up - even
if I eat my keyboard full of rage...
I hope you know that now.
Is it possible to link your software to other websites (for example
Extreme Players) - that would be a help for all CUT - Users - not
only for me , because I'm sure I'm not the only one who's left on the
street...
You can/should also tell this to other websites which ONLY use
Gamespy/Fileplanet - that be great.

What do you mean fails? It should work fine. Just make sure you have a gamespy id.

I have an ID !

The download starts,too - OK !

But...

If the download status is 99% - that means shortly before the download
finishes - there opens a window: "The file couldn't downloaded - the
Server connection was interupted" - after clicking the OK button -
download window disappears - and the download fails!

OK, I'll try it again but I don't think somethings changed!

The only gripe I have with Fileplanet is that there aren't enough free servers, and as such, things get a bit clogged all too quickly.

you should use a download manager that will let you resume downloads so you dont ahve to start over. some of them also help improve performance by using a 'swarmed download' method (swarmed downloads dont work on fileplanet though, only one connection at a time is allowed to them- another fileplanet gripe)
