ive got the latest versions of all [UT2k4, ChaosUT2, patch]

ive noticed something important:
none of the chaos gametypes support a map list!!
is it possible to fix this?

another thing:
could you make it possible to make it possible to carry the flag on a hoverboard, in CTF [not hyperCTF!]
btw: would it be possible to enable the hoverboard and the chaosbike as a mutator? so you can carry flags on them in the normal ctf!

As far as i remember they should have their own map lists.


Worse comes to worst ini file editing should allow for one.

ofcourse they need their own map list, but if i make one after selecting the gametype, they wont work> it keeps repeating the same map over and over again!

When your in the maplist config sections are you moving the maps you want to play from the inactive map section to the active map section.

yes, i add all maps to the maplist, even if i do it manually it doesnt work

Hmm..

Dont suppose you could try editing the map list of say.. normal CTF.. then trying a CCTF game and see if that works?

Im at home right now and running an outdated version. Just trying guesses off the top of my head.

Unfortunately, i dont have much experience with maplists as i dont particularly like the interface for using them.

Not sure yet what is causing your issue, and yes, I have 3.75 installed at the moment, and the map lists do work for me - offline (I'm currently unable to get them to work on Jb's server, but I'm tempted to believe that is not a Chaos issue).

You might try using Mapmixer/Botmixer, as I have mentioned in this thread:

You can already use these vehicles thru our mutator, however you cannot carry flags on the Hoverboard (except in HCTF as you mentioned). This is because it's a flying vehicle and the rules do not allow for that. For game play reasons of course.

Are you using the Chaos short cut or activating it via the mod menu? Just want to make sure Chaos is running. If thats the case can you try this one more time and send me your ChaosUT2.log file found in the \ut2004\chaosut2\systems dir? That log file should tell us what is going on as Chaos does support map lists...

well, i dont want to use any other addon to UT2k4 just to make the maplists work, because they are supposed to work properly!
and is it possible to change some entrys somewhere to allow the FlagCarrier to carry the flag inside every vehicle? [manta, hoverboard, etc.]? > could this be made into a mutator? {is this hard?}

i tried both ways of starting ChaosUT2, but they both dont change anything...

I was able to duplicate this warning, are you sure your moving the maps from the inactive list to the active list in the map configuration...?

Try this, start Chaos using the Chaos short cut, then select bot match, select Chaos DM, in the map section go to options at the bottom, then click the map configuration button, then in the inactive map section click the add all button, then play a round and see what happens.

well,
it seems to work in ChaosDM, but it still doesnt in HyperCTF
so there is the bug!

I don't think so....Try this remove this map VCTF-80thAvenuebeta3 from your map list, leave the standard VCTF maps and the other custom one and try it.
