argh- havent had much luck with the karma bodies sticking to blades since my blades are so small the volumes are too small to cause friction.
I think I may sit on this one a while... BUT, in the meantime I have laid the smackdown on a new MK stage port- its one thats a round arena- is pretty much done since I dont have to fool with blades and falling issues... Ill post when I can get it together... stay tuned... :)

well , I finally realized how the Chaos mapper caused the dead ragdolls to seemingly stick to the spike in Duel-Arena. he used like 8 invisible spike looking movers that jam into place by a trigger to hold the dead body there- theres no way I can do that for 200 floor and pillar blades :).
So unless there is a special Karma item that can be setup to act as a sticking glue for ragdolls, I dont think Im going to have much luck. So I have decided to fix some other issues in the map and ready it for release. I fixed the problem where if a player fell out of the map to a falling death the chaos camera doesnt spin around in the center of the map now. I also added in some extra sound and effect cues and custom armor and health vial pickups and modified the boots-of-jumping to look more magical/virtual. Hopefully If I am able to get online later today and not have DSL problems I may get it uploaded...

since you have gravity on your side (unlike arena), could you slam a couple large slab-like movers on the victim? Assuming they were on top of a spike it should hold them pinned to it while allowing arms and legs to dangle down i think

EDIT: by couple i mean each "slab" covers like 10 or more spikes so you dont have to do tons and tons of movers

hmm... I am concerned the triggers for the movers will be set off by alive players. Can you make triggeres react to only ragdolls?
plus I dont know how that would work with the blades around the pillars.. but thanks for the help.

ps- that would be funny-= walkin/runnin around bottom of pit and get near a blade and get mashed into the floor by an invisible crusher- LMAO!

Well if you really want maybe we can code up a special Glue for Rag Dolls?

Jedi, want to make it? We can make it have its own .U file and not incoperate it into Chaos. Or we could to have nice deco :) Up to you good sir.

I actually emailed the UDN karma guru himself, chris@demiurgestudios.com , and he said:
"If you feel comfortable working with unreal script I have an idea that might work. Make your own trigger class and put it in the middle of the blade where you want the body to stick. When the trigger is triggered by a ragdoll (do a test if it is the right pawn class and has ragdoll physics) spawn a hinge joint that attaches the body to the blade. Feel free to ask me more questions if you want to try this method."

-that sounds good- I just dont know how to implement it.
