Maybe the buildings in these maps could have fully defined floors, unlike the useless ones in BR - Skyline and DM - Morpheus 3. You could have staircases, windows and maybe even elevators!

Urban Map
Funny you should all bring this up...
Finally dusting off my editors, and the first map i have been messing with is an Urban map inspired from my photos of Iraq and a map that is floating around out there for the Desert Combat Mod for BF 1942.
The map is called Basra's Edge and is an awesome urban map, if you have played it. Mine will be similar but with textures pulled from actual photos from Iraq. Plus some design ideas taken from Saddam Hussein's actual Palace in his home town of Tikrit.
Just started it so don't expect a playable version for awhile as i am still re-learning what everything in Unreal-Ed is for, and how it all works.

I would like to see a urban map set in a jungle. If you wanted to do some more it could have step pyramids and other things to fight on so it would be a great map for... (cue the haunting music full of gunshots and screams) hunting out your opponent among the ruined buildings of a dead civilization and the decay of a modern primitive society, where the treasured remains of the past lay within the discards of a dark city, and the screams of terror are close within the skull of the combatant. (end music) The idea is that there are crumbling buildings everywhere from every age in this tropical forest and vehicles litter the field for players to snatch to cross the field. In other words a cross of stalwartXL of UT99 with tokara forest.
Jingle, jingle, boom. Oops, you're dead.
That sucks cause I wanted to play....
But let the show go on!

Not if you're in Vietnam or Cambodia. In fact many cities could be done like this for example, Mexico City. Many modern Indian (and I do mean sub-continent) cites are also this way. The bounds of this idea are only limited by your ability to envision a (again, cue music) jungle slowly reclaiming a city ravaged by time and war, like the forests of the Amazon, or the storied forests of the land of the rajahs. (end music... again).Pepito wrote:hehee. I get what you're saying there but that first line is a great oxymoron
Heck, I have an idea... ONS with the nodes on crumbling buildings with pyramids and ridges to keep Z-action going between tight spaces and broad areas. Ideally hoverboard would be main vehicle so it is like a foot campaign with guerrilla tactics to keep w/ the theme.
