Questions concerning crashes and custom bots with CHAOS

I have both the full chaos(for ut2004) and the recent update installed, but when trying the mutator and/or the mod .bat I get a crash.
Some people said it has to do with my u2skaarj models, even when not being selected as bots or player models....now why is that?
I have used chaos for ut2003 and custom species for bots worked fine, and even other custom bots I made. So what has changed in this new version so I can pin down this incompatibility so people with my models can use Chaos and its weapons.

just going out on a limb here but chaos has custom skulls , and if your Skaarj have custom gibs , perhaps they are trying to replace eachother and causing code loops? btw is there a way you could release a pack that is online compatible with your skaarj? the want to play online outweighs the want to see the custom gibs and blood.

Like TKATK sead; look please if you have the latest patch installed.

And can you post the log file too? As the log file will contain the crash error and other messages that are usefull leading up to the crash. Thanks and sorry about that.
