3rd person shadows

hi all,


just wondering if there is any way to have the engine render shadows on the 3rd person meshes used in Duel - i noticed during testing on my fairly sombre map, that the 3rd person skins come up quite brightly, and kinda destroy the darkness and claustraphobia of the map.

Is there any way to force player models to use sunlight/shadows to render them? (to have the ability to hide in shadows etc.)

Shadow,
do you know of a way to help? You had that uber cool effect for the cyberspace map. Maybe something simular?

IIRC cyberspace had no lighting at all and just used projectors to make the effect.
I make Darth Vader look like a teenage punk with a lightsaber.
