this is my first decent level, DM-1on1-The_Grid, very small, very open, very simple

thats a good thing rite?

didnt work out as good as i thought... i hosted from image shack, an the thumb links were bad when i posted them up at the DDM server (dun worry, its a mech warrior BF HL2 unit)

sweet i got fans of the arenas...

ill need to get the Bace CD back from a friend, but ill also need to rewrite Mathias cuz i changed some stuff around...
-added a snow effect, needs tweaking mainly with collisions(turning collisions off with make snow fall into the spawn chambers, perhaps rezing is in order?)
-reworked weapon placement, now have sniper rifles an lightning gun,
-no more Mine Layers
-replaced S-Shock Rifle with redeemer for gameplay balance (esp in Mutant games)
-there are now bio rifles in the level
-added Assault Rifle in each corner
-FINALLY ADDED AMMO!!!!!
-pathing limits bot to the ground, i probably need to work on forced paths ect, i doubt bots will get on to the pillars or spire (spire only accessable by shield jump
-drastically lessened the lighting and took off some spot lights
-working on volumes to prevent spawn wh*reing

Mathias is the only one ive worked on, the rest im leaving the same, bu honestly i dont know how (or even have) a link to DL them for you guy, mebbe could snail mail the CD to one of u guy so you could host them...

Whatever you do take arena out of the map name, there are too many already with it in the name.

Also, based on the pics a lot of them look very BSP based... try to use more static meshes and get rid of some of those sharp edges.

as for meshing...im still trying to get some icy mesh (like ice icicles for the edges, but there so many meshes in all im not sure where to start, altho i did figure out how re-skin the meshes)

DM-Mathias-Frost

Its hard to fit static meshes to an already designed level, in most cases. You may want to go about adding static meshes and then resigning around it so they go together well.
