That sounds like a scene from The Matrix... are you sure there are no constipated-looking guys in suits watching you?

do you have an on-board gpu? i do, so whenever my fx5200 messes up (worryingly often) i just plug the screen into the onboard. Try that if you have one, then you can know whats causing it (if it doesn't work, you will have to pay for a new pc, if it does, you will have to pay for a new gpu (unless you have an amazingly good onboard) so this really isnt good.

you could try cleaning the gunk out of the fan, threaten it, break into a mates house and swap gpus with them etc. etc. if none of them work then i dont know (in the uk, its a bit easier, you just pretend to be very dislexic, and the government pays for all your computer supplies  )

I dont care if somebody uses my smeshes. I dont even care if i dont get credit. It's thier map, if somebody goes "whoaw! that mesh rocks! How did you make it" then they are in problems, i do mapping for fun, not to make really fancy **** and then keep it all to myself and let nobody use them. That's not my style. I dont make my maps to be the best, its like copying somebodys answers in a test basically. If it works, you will have to live up to higher expectations, and will eventully be too hard to work in and nobody to copy of o, so, i see it as thier loss, not mine.

But then again, your probably much better than me so...

its a matter of preference. which is why people should ask, and why readme's exist.

how would you like it if someone stole your mesh, a company really liked it and hired him for a high salary, (assuming he is fairly good at meshes anyway, just not as good as you). obviously that is not very likely, but you get the idea.

anyway, the matter is just about over, larch has apologised, removed the file from download, and is trying to fix it, and the apology has been accepted. so everyone is happy (except larch, because his pc is broken, but that has nothing to do with it)

I wouldn't care. Because, the guy will get fired because he cant create any better stuff. so, it would be a draw lose situation.

L'arc -the problem may be due to your power supply. i had very similar problems when i installed my new gfx.

Afte rmuch hassle i finally solved it - the psu i had wasnt supplying enough voltage, so was pushing extra amps thru to make up the difference - and was melting my motherboard in the process and providing jittery voltage to my gfx.

If i was you, id check your m/board for any signs of damage, and possibly upgrade your psu to a better quality one. I ended up having to spend around £70 (~100 euro?) to get a really decent one to solve the voltage problem.
