Hi all my new duel map is available now : duel-DeadLands
Inspired from Wh40k universe (Necromunda) and some duel maps I particularly enjoy :)
It takes place in the ash deserts of Necromunda, a large place to fight during a terrible storm.

Wow. Even zipped up it's a 25mb Duel map? 8O

That must contain a serious amount of custom content.

I wish youd asked for permission instead of racing in and using my meshes from boneyard. id like you to remove them. Ive told you before about using other ppl's work, but i didnt expect you to use mine.

The annoying thing is, had you asked me, i might have been able to make you some new, but different meshes to use. Now i have to set an example and have you remove them.

I know they say copying is a high form of flattery, but i find it irritating.

This has been edited by myself since my first post was pretty scathing. Ive calmed down slightly, as the shock of finding someone using my work was ... a new one.

yes, those meshes i made were quite detailed. Thats why boneyard was a hefty 16mb. Im going to now check and see exactly what was used. The bone meshes are a no brainer.

Hmm, I guess I'll put that map off from my site now...

Make sure you tell me when it's sorted and put the new map on, L'arc!

Oh am so sorry Venalanatomica, yea I sould have asked before

I have a lot of work on it, I ll remove first the skelettons, I ll replace em with crashed vehicles (in Necromunda's deserts, those kind of animals dont exist, one of my friend said, there are only scorpions snakes rats...)

I ll replace also the towers with meshes of my own creation

have to modify the terrain too

Ok I'll post later the new version, sorry again for the trouble I caused !
(mea culpa  )

ok, thanks.

if you had asked me first , i wouldnt have been so hacked.

you have to stop using other ppl's meshes, ive seen it in a lot of your work, and ok, with permission its fine, but judging from this, im dubious.

Hopefully you will learn from this and create some good original content.

Well sometimes it's difficult to tell what meshes came in the original game or is by another mapper if you have your mesh file named something generic.

But it's always better to be safe than sorry.

well, when the mesh is imbedded in another map, it's pretty obvious I'd think. . .
