Thank you so much all I had to do was go to Uninstall UT2003 and select Chaos UT2003!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it's the same one I was using. The readme is exactly the same. No mention of a fix or update in the readme file.
It's a good-looking model, but no big deal if I don't have it.


Another lockup.

Again while five vortex launchers were in use in Antalus.

And when I was using the weapons without the arena mutator I had just used the vortex launcher and the game locked up.


(Arena Mutator: I also put 13 bots in DM-Gael, and used the proxy mines. No lockups. It was a pretty wild game. Large groups of proxy mines chattering and chasing everyone.)

could you by any chance get a log file of when the game locks up on the vortex?

Well, i got something here:

Start a 1on1 Botmatch, with Crossbow-Arena and 10% FriendlyFire, change to the Bot's team and fire some arrows on his Head. (This even appears with enemys or players - this botmatch is just nice to show the bug)

What happened there? Perhaps the headshot cutoff animation does even appear when the enemy is NOT killed? In my opinion this is a bug - headless people look a bit silly ;-)

Yah, sorry to say that came about with our latest patch. We were fixing the bug where some folks were having a lockup after crossbow headshots, and this cropped up.

It's not pretty, but for now, we decided to go ahead with it, because it doesn't happen on every headshot, and it's better than a lockup.

Sorry about that, we should have it fixed in our next release.

Make them lose control of their bodies (and the 1st person view follows the head, like in UT1), and their bodies run around until they drop to the floor, dead :D

Just had a match in Gael on deus' server where i got the xhair disappearing bug for the rocketlauncher multiple times. I would switch on the laser, then switch down to the assault rifle. had it happen 4 times in a row that way. Note that on Deus' server my ping is usually over 200, which might have had something to do with it. There was nothing in the log though.

Deus runs a few mutators on his server... might have been a conflict of some type, but maybe not.

not really a bug but I noticed the document on .umod installation problems is incorrect (at least for Win 2000). It gives complicated instructions when you can just do the following:
1. extract the umod
2. right click on the file and say "Open With"
3. from the menu that pops up click the browse option and navigate to your UT2003 folder and use the setup .exe
4. say to use it for all umods
and voila! problem solved.

CUT2E crashes in Mac UT2K3

Hardware:
Dual 1.33 GHz G4
1.5 GB RAM
GF4Ti video
UT2K3 2225
CUT2E PR 1.0.1

OSX crash log for UT2K3
UT2K3 log for same event

Sometimes CUT2E seems to work then crashes. Others... crashes right out of the gate. Installation is correct.
