I've posted this in the bug thread, and so far nobody has mentioned it or noticed it to my knowledge, so I thought I'd bring it up again, because it's frustrating me and I can't figure out why it's different on my end than eveyone else's.
the spin move that's able to be done with the double daggers and the katana works fine for me in online game play, I dodge forward in medium stance and hit attack at the right time, and do the spin menouver.
however in instant action, I can't get this move to work at all. when I do the same sequence (double tap forward and fire) I get some weird animation where my character just puts his arms streight out to the left and doesn't swing at all, let alone do the spin move.
I took an in game screenshot to show you what I see when I attempt the move in instant action.

as you can see the character just has his arms out to the right, that's the entire animation for the move, arms out right, no swing, no spin, and no other motion of the blades at all until the animation finishes and then they drop back to the ready position. basically it looks like the character is trying to clothesline someone off to his right rather than the spin.
any help would be appreciated, I'd love to be able to use all the moves in instant action and maybe I'm just doing something wrong
help with spin move in instant action...
ahhh well thats backwards. In the code the only way to get a spin move is to be in medium stance, and at the right time do a double jump with the katana/daggers while going forward. Now if your getting to happen on line then its a bug that we will get to. Right now we are trying to get all of the bigger game play bugs fixed first. When you play on-line then the rules of what your PC knows and does not not changes as it has to rely on the server and the server only sends a subset of data to it...

lol ahhhhhhhh ok
thanks JB
it was really freaking me out
online, I can do the spins by just dodging and hitting attack at the right time, it's very simple to do.
offline (instant action) I can only do it with double jumps, I incorrectly assumed that the easier of the two moves was the one you were going for
but that being the case, if you wanna leave the easier move in, I won't complain
cause it comes in handy.
sorry for the confusion
however that does leave one other bug in instant action, tapping out a dodge and hitting attack in medium stance with the daggers or katana, does do that weird animation for me, where there's no attack, the weapons are just held outward to the side and don't do any damage, I get this move more often than not, when it's supposed to be an overhead slash or a stab menouver.
thanks for the answer though, at least now I know what's right and what's not
