I beleive the conclusion we came to was that the animations we were trying to scale the animation rate on we were using that parameter, but it had no effect/ does not work.
Though that was decided before i started programming i think, i beleive the decision was that there was supposed to be support for it but it was apparently broken. I know ive seen *some* animations scale in game, but ive seen some also scale backwards using UT2003 RPG and a high fire rate. By backwards i mean the firing animation plays slower when firing at high speeds.
Hmm, if you know any way to easily reproduce a bug with anim rate Epic might want to know because as far as I am aware there's no known issues with it. Although admittadely I doubt Epic has tried the insanely high values UT2003RPG can produce
I'm not having any problems at all using magic weapons with Chaos.
I just finished playing a rather long game of melee invasion (using the melee support mutator), with UT2003RPG and magic weapons. I was getting all kinds of magic melee's, like poisoned daggers and katanas +3, etc. Worked just fine, never crashed, and didn't get any AN's or other bugs that I could see.
Trouble is, you have to have a really high level character in order to take on the monsters with melee weapons, since you can only block some of the stuff that gets shot at you, and the melee weapons don't really do enough damage on thier own to kill the monsters quickly enough. But that's to be expected I suppose. Invasion monsters have always had a ton more health than thier Unreal 1 counterparts.
Shadow, can you please post the URL where I can get that specific version of UT2003RPG? Cause I have 4 and in every single server I get a version mismatch.
I just went to the forums and downloaded the latest version. BTW, I'm not playing online. I suspect that nearly every one of the online servers is running a different version, so you're probably out of luck.
