New Weapon Idea KILLER SPHERE

From watching the old "Phantasm" movies I came up with a awesome WEAPON idea... :twisted: How about the floating silver sphere that can KILL. It has spikes that pop out and smash into someones head. Then a drill comes out, drills inside of the skull and blood is pumped out.

how about too hard to script,how about i dont think it would be good for chaos

Hehem maybe the drilling thingy is abit hard (nothin is impossible) but if we convert is to melee its a basic MorningStar... tho the chain thingy is abit difficult...
It's anyway Unreal.

hmmm taek the code from that NINJA rope thingy, then attach the spiked ball to the end, and really give it some karma with an animations that loooks liek its holding the chain...
should work.. the animations dont noeed to have the swinging arm... only for whne you attack or something

Karma and replication don't play well together :cry:

It can be done, but currently the network overhead climbs very quickly. IIRC in UT2k4 they have tweaked it to be more bandwidth friendly.

Big, its funny you should have that idea. About 6Mo to a year ago, Me and another person worked out an idea for a new Proxy based off the same shiney silver ball ;) here is the idea:

AntiProxy:
The AntiProxys have been mutated by a dark Chaos Magic. They are evil now and hate all humans, but above all they hate Proxys. The AntiProxys are always found 1 at a time, and they are fired out of the Claw Just like normal Proxys. When the proxy is loaded to be fired its spikes imediatly sprint out to full length, and lets out an evil laugh. Once launched The AntiProxy flys through the air searching for Victoms. The Antiproxy attempts to replace its victoms head as the body falls out from under it. When Theese Dark Proxys score the kill on their second victom they explode with a cloud of Dark Chaos Magic. If an AntiProxy enters a room with Humans and Proxys it will Scream out an Evil warCry and attack the Proxys, Ignoring the humans in the room. Theese Evil Proxys are hard to find and actualy dont like their own kind either. Hence a Tournament Player can only carry one at a time. If a player has one in his inventory and he picks up another, the Two incarnations of Evil will fight to the death right there in the players ammo cahe. The insuing fight will rip the player appart spraying his gibbs all over the playng field.

When the proxies say "Oh goody! I get to be an anti-proxy!", that was a sound I originally created to support advanced proxy AI. They were supposed to say that when they target an enemy proxy to intercept it. There were several such sounds in the pack, such as "What are ya, yella?" and "Let's get together and explode!", or "My explosion is bigger than your explosion!". But I think they ended up getting reassigned as general hunting sounds.

Oh well.

Thank you for the compliment, but that model is nowhere neer a finished quality. It would have to be totaly redone for the game. Sorry, it was only for a concept sketch. I dont ever think i have the max files anymore :(
