UT2004 is coming, we should prepare for it!
what i really meant by "Minigun" was a fully automatic weapon like the minigun. mabey a juiced up assault rifle or someting. another thing is when ya got big honkin blades all over it you dont NEED no gun. mabey we should do a poll on this or somthing.
EDIT: heres an idea: make the weapon be a speed boost. I personally think that would be the best. I value speed over power on my light vehicles. Alt. fire could do tricks!

The problem of grenades is that they don't go in a streight line and it would be the best if we use the weapons that are already made because it takes a lot of work away from the chaos team. but now i think about the blades they indeed also not fit because they bounce away.

If the vehicle itself becomes the weapon, it will be neccessary to severely limit the number of them that can be in the game at one time. If you have too many, you get a "mower city" environment which is really crappy (Believe me, there's nothing like stepping out of spawn only to get mowed by some crazy driver, and then to have to do it all over again, and again, and again...)

i think it would be better if the mower cars bumped the players around doing around 50 hp per hit,jumpin players into the air so that the mower city thing is less likely to be a total annoyance,and doesnt CUT have spawn protection to protect against mower city(it didnt help in XMP,propably becouse of its lenght)

here's an idea: take off the blades, give it really bad traction and make it take a while to get up to speed. that along with spawn protection should prevent mower city. besides, it's really hard to hit sommthing with a narrow hoverbike.

Plus, we should make the vehicles take realistic collision damage. If you run into a wall, it should do alot of damage. Hit it hard enough and you'll kill your vehicle. Vehicles should also probably not explode when they die, but just stop working. Maybe then they can dissapear after a while?
Ahh, but that'll probably get taken care of in UT2k4's code, so we won't have to worry about that in Chaos. See this is why we can't really do anything until it actually comes out. We have to see what they do before we know what we can do.
