Awesome! I've not had nearly as many hours on it yet as I'd like, still haven't seen everything yet, but it rocks.

I've seen some minor things I don't like (like a HUD clock), but also other things that rock (like no shield stacking). But overall, the game just plain rocks. Hats off to the chefs.

Driving a Scorpion around on Crossfire is pure joy. Cruising around in just about anything on Red Planet, also made me feel like a kid again, just smiling like a goon into my monitor. The team skins I saw while playing on ONS on Furry's server last night were great. I did not need those butt-ugly triangles, but the skins were great. I fired up a Godlike single player tournament, and promptly had my hat handed to me, with my ass stuff inside. (which is great, of course. if bots are too easy too soon, that would be disappointing) And I forget the name of that 1st DM map in the SP ladder (Idola?), but it and Rankin are great maps. Rock solid play.

Anyway, looking forward to spending more time, and then being able to comment on more stuff (like CTF...I'm a addict of CTF, but no so much w/o Chaos), but ya, it's a great game. I'm gonna have fun with this one.

Ive liked most of the maps so far except DM-Goliath

Also the CTF-AbsoluteZero one was ok but slowed my computer down to a crawl in places, where the rest of the game ran pretty smooth.

CTF-1on1-Joust is a riot =)

Its nice that they released Joust... They've used it as their testing map from when UT2003 was being developed.

My thoughts on UT2k4 are as follows

its REALLY REALLY REALLY good.

I especially like how my previously Least used weapon (the minigun) has replaced my previously most used weapon (Rocketlauncher)

I just Love the changes they made to the mini . . .

IT OWNZ!!

As simple as that. Almost every new map is ace, ONS and AS are really really great. Just some minor bugs but I am sure they will be fixed.

All I have to do now is get my comp working right. 30-60 fps (sometimes up to 120 when no action is going on) on the following machine:

asus p4p800 deluxe mobo
p4 2,6 @ 2,9 GHZ
512 mb ddr400 ram
ati radeon 9600 pro 128 mb ram

Anyone seen the same and knows a solution??

UT2k4 is a good game...Onslaught is probly the best Idea that they came up with. The Onslaught is much like most game plays.. Funny how the same intro music is the same as Deltaforce Taskforce Dagger...lol
I would rather play taskforce Dagger most of the time..
Well, my opinion on the game is really not going to be good till....
Guys like you "Chaos" and all the mod builders do their great work..
Unreal tournament is an average game and I think that ATARI went the wrongway.. on some mods..
Atari should long ago had Chaos, Madnad and all the great coders working directly with them on this game.. Then it would be a great Game..
I run a Invation server in Seattle From Fairbanks, Alaska.
Im new to unreal admin. Im a Die hard Q3 Excessive ctf players for years.
What you call an old timer..
But as an Admin for UT2k3 and thinking of changing to ut2k4 I Hpoe that Chaos will stay with Vortex weapon it makes a Invation server crispyer..
And hope you suprize me of something even better..
And one last thing if anyone will ever read this how long will it take or a rough Idea when your ut2k4 mod be readyy...

So far I love it!!!

Its great but with a few minor flaws.

The bots have WAY too good of aim over long distance. their hit you 7 out of 10 times from accross torlan with a shockrifle.
Sniper rifle is good, just wish it had a bit more oomph.
Voice recognition in the bots is cool, if you can get them to hear it

And I don't like being called a cheater because I found the leviathin and the other team doesn't have a clue how to find one
(mainly in severance)
