Has anyone else seen this? When you are connected to a server via webadmin and the game ends the server will hang while recycling the map. The server then needs to be killed and restarted. I'm not sure if it does this on a full map change or if it does it only when the Chaos mut is running. I will try to test that but I won't have a chance for a couple days. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks.
Server is a Xeon based Win2K server. Latest Epic patch 3236. It runs CCTF and ONS. The problem appears to affect both. I also saw it happen with the 3204 patch but never had time to pursue it.
Server hang on map restart.
UTAdmin by TBone. But I remember seeing it do this before I put that in place. It works fine if you restart or change maps through WebAdmin but if the game is won and the map recycles while WebAdmin is connected it will hang. Kind of irritating since the only access I have to the server is through WebAdmin when I'm at home.
Thanks R.Flagg. It's really not too big of a deal, just really annoying. The solution for now is to stay out of WebAdmin. I can do most things I need to in game anyway.
BTW. I did get the long map change times fixed. I had to tweak the virus protection a little. Map changes went from 1-2 minutes to 15 seconds. Now if I could get the stutter when you hit the first weapon locker in ONS figured out I would be all set.
