I think they're pretty balanced, you just have to know how to deal with their attacks. Look at me, I used to hate the axe, because of it's ridiculous range. I figured out that it swings pretty slow,so now I wait for the swing, and then proceed to bash their head with a mace
No weapon is cheap in my eyes, you just plain suck at fighting those players! all the weapons have flaws, you just have to exploit them better.
That's nice codekiller expect that you're over simplflyinng it. Good players move BACKWARDS after they swing. It's impossible to for a good mace to kill a good axe. Believe me I've tried...
To me, the weapons go in a rock paper sissors mode. WHich is not good IMHO.
Long Axe Beats Mace
Mace Kills Dagger
Dagger kills long axe

That's why you dodge jump at them, and who did you get to be the good mace (heh, I'm jk)
just some stuff:
Bsword is easy to beat with the mace, how the hell can a katana beat everything, if a hammer beats it?
Wow, I thought I knew what ridiculous was until today -Strongbad

HA, i beg to differ. i'd be willing to bet that the bastard sword has the most range, and the widest swing out of ANY of the weapons for duel with the exception of the axe of course . . . now that's a weapon that need's to be nerfed. you swing that thing around in heavy stance and you're bound to hit somebody no matter how much skill you have. and headshots are incredibly easy to pull off with that thing. a friend of mine got four in row . . .and it was only his second time playing. but that's besides the point . . the bastard is and will always be just as lethal as all the other weapons. i'm not saying it's perfect, but it's damn near it, heh.
This is an interesting conversation to watch. It starts out with one weapon, then gradually cycles through all of the weapons. I think by this point, all of the weapons have had a turn at being the massively overpowered weapon.

funny as, althrough my special fork could kane all of u
The Katan beats all because it does so much damage. You can get in fast and then get out fast. It's possible to avoid it of course but in the hands of a master it's truely deadly. But I'm not saying that it's over powered, there are obvious limitations to it but it can beat all (and all can beat it lol)
And what do you mean by the dodge jump code killer?
And whoever says that the bastard sword is over powered is weird.
General, it's the same as double jump, except you hit jump at the height of a forward dodge from hitting Forward, forward rapidly. Absurdly good for covering ground quickly, or chasing runners.

very true, a forward dodge jump covers the most ground the quickest, though if you have a short distance to cover though, the crouch jump (only in duel) is extremely fast though because of how crouching slows you right before its not good for catching a runner
now from what i have seen the weapons are mostly balanced, Especialy if you know your stances
with few exeptions each stance fights diferently and should be used when fighting differnt styls. I will use the Dax (double ax) for an example as i know its stances most intimatly (though i have moved on to the Lax (long ax))
light stance will eat dags for lunch and also works well agains other dax's. i also prefer to fight hamers with this stance, though medium works well too
medium is your bread and butter, the side walking slashes arc let you pass your enemy (avoiding their slash) and cut them in the bac with the end of your swing
heavy stance is best used against Lax's and Maces (go figure) its hard to explain why these work so well against those but they do
your most dificulty will come from bswords and templars (their combanation of range and speed make it dificult to get in and out in time without sustaing injury)
most weapons fallow a similar patern with stance being almost as important as the weapon itself.
i would however like to see a short sword & sheild combo added as well as a pole arm (preferibly a scyth cus they cool) the range of the polearm could be balanced by making the wood part do little to no damage so you are extra vulnerable from short ranges
Imo polearms would still be unbalanced becouse in the pullback the blade would still touch the player,ALSO people would consider a weapons part doing no damage a bug
