You mentioned melee in deathmatch...

I was wondering. How do you do that? I've not been able to find any setting to make it happen.

I also noticed the chaos weapons arena mutator. For some reason, it doesn't do anything. Not even any settings in the configure mutator menu. Is this right?

In ChaosDM,KoTH, TeamKoTH you have a check box option to allow for melee only matches:

No you should have a simular configuration as the standard Arena mut gives u just with chaos weapons.

I dunno, seems like it would be hard to catch a carrier running off in the distance with just daggers, probably play like crap :o

grapple isnt exactly precise in 3rd person though.

How about making Flag Carriers unable to dodge, or something?

i dont think the melle attacks could hit the fc easily if he was sidestepping to the left and right even with dodge

Melee CCTF would be pointless unless you can throw your weapon at the flag carrier, had really small arenas, or there would have to be a unqiue way to cap the flag in other to give someone a chance to cut the carrier down.

What gametype was this for (ChaosDM, ChaosKoTH, ect)? Chances our the INT/UCL did not get coppied over correctly. Did you use the UMOD or the ZIP version of the patch?

It was for ChaosDM, and I used the UMOD. Should I try the .zip?

Check your chaosut2.ucl file (should be in the ut2004\system dir) for the following item (its the third entery):
Mutator=(ClassName=ChaosGames.MutChaosArena,GroupName=Arena,IconMaterialName=MutatorArt.nosym,FriendlyName=ChaosGames.MutChaosArena.FriendlyName,Description=ChaosGames.MutChaosArena.Description,FriendlyName=ChaosGames.MutChaosArena.FriendlyName,FallbackName="ChaosUT2: Weapon Arena",FallbackDesc="Replace weapons and ammo in map with a single type.
