Tried single player earlier today for about an hour. It starts off innocently enough, then all hell breaks loose (get it?...). Its dark and its scary, and stuff pops out of the walls and starts taking swipes at you.
And the imps.. the imps toss fireballs at you like they always have. But its not a point and shoot thing. They wind up and hurl those things at you, then jump after you.
Gameplay wise though, it reminds me a lot of farcry. The controls are almost identical once you remap them, and the gameplay is very similar. The difference is the atmosphere. Farcry was a tropical island, it was pretty, it was paradise. This is hell, in almost every sense of the word. Im still shivering from some of those encounters, and im a seasoned veteran of FPS and undead-slaying type games.
