About Relics:
Shield:Looks great,No glaring flaws
Strenght:Great,but the fist glow color could match the color under a player...red fists>purple fists?
Vengance:Nice effect,Maybe a higher chance of gibbing the players,Doesnt sound evil enough(cry),a demonic laugh for models which aint in any of the stock species would be nice
Regen:Nice,maybe a beat sound emiting from regen units when theyre healing?...double heal speed if you stand still for 20 sec would be a nice addition

Vampire:Hmm,the blood could use a bit more color for humanoids,a bit too red,but that propably is my lack of pixel shaders i guess

1.Loss of ability to jump,or another bind,both wouldi impair gameplay for some people
2.Map exploiting-would be made easy becouse you can get anywhere
3.Balancing-slowing down the air speed would make jumping useless,slowing down usual speed or weapon damage/speed would make a riot
I vote for bringing back redemption and bloody weapons

Different relic modes. Of course different gametypes affects relics in different ways. In melee, it is much harder and rarer to hit people. this means that some relics are over powered (regen for example), and some under powered, vampire [which is overpowered in the hands of a good player]. My suggestion, find the tweaks that you can and make different modes for each.
Suggested tweaks:
Speed is underpowered in Melee, please do something in addition.
Vampire is actually quite good where it is, that is from experience, but I'm an unusually good player so....
Vengence needs to have some lower blast radius in melee, you hack the person's head off, then boom everyone dies. This also creates a suicide bomb. 4 kills for 1 suicide is not uncommon.
Regen: Waaaaaaay over powered. Instead of 8 life persecond or whatever it is now, make it more like 3, or 2.....
Can you also give some more specifics for relics, like the actual numbers... How much does Armor block, etc.
Also a chilling relic would be nice

thanks as well. Here are the current ChaosRelics settings:
Armor absorbs 50% of all incoming damage..
Strength increase damage by x1.5 (thus armor and strength "cancel each other out")
Speed increase your "speed" by 1.15
Regen give 5 hp/s
Just for reference here are the Old UT Relics values from Epic:
Armor was set to 60% of incoming damage
Strength was set at x2
Speed was 1.25
Regen was set to 10 hp/s
Your right about how relics can effect the game in different ways. In Duel the regen is too powerful, in DM however a 2 hp regen would be very in-effective. As it would take 25 seconds in DM to regenerate 50 hps. 25 sec in DM is a long long time. I can grapple to health packs and restore my health faster then the regen would give them to me set at that value. Thus the regen would not offer me any benefit in DM (as its too slow to give me health back, I might as well have another relic type).
But you bring up a good point on how to adjust them to fit in all of the gametypes. What about Relics in JailBreak? How do they effect that gametype for example....

that's not a bad idea. We wanted to add more Relics as time permits. Once we got a few more, I though about having a Relic config menu that pops up where folks can tweak the relics to their liking.
