It has an active Mod community DISPITE Valve, not because of it.
Like America has a HUGE immigration community DISPITE the government, not because of it.
(For the Record, I mean the whole government, not democrats or republicans specificially)

Max Payne man...poetry in motion. I think it has one of the most compelling and well structured storylines ever and the graphics are just stunning in both MP1 and 2. Each character in MP2 averaged around 8000 polys . And in that shower scene, i exported the nude Mona Sax model and they actually modelled her abdominal muscles droool*
The voice acting, lighting and the overall noir atmosphere of the game made made you feel like you were really in the game.
Max Payne really i cant express how good it is

eh? MaxPayne 1... Loose cannon cop's wife and kid get killed and he's on the run... its like fugitive and hard to kill mixed.... in fact there are many movies/storylines similar to that. And this mind warp stuff where he just runs thru repeating rooms and follows some dumb blood trail maze till the end... worst. idea. ever.Gen_Identikal wrote:I think it has one of the most compelling and well structured storylines ever and the graphics are just stunning in both MP1 and 2.
MP1, IMO was just the bullettime move with a bunch of filler to make it fit in somewhere. And the programmer of that game used his own face on Max... not exactly a "tough" looking face, kinda lost the edge for me.
Dont get me wrong, shooting people and bulletdodging left and right is great for game play, but the engine is so basic.. no sneaking, just until you hit a certain point and then the badguys know you are there.. its like Sega Genesis. Only played MP2 demo, but after the first 2 min it just felt like more of the same (although i heard it was much better in later levels)
ah well.
