Glass map

Post by lord_kungai »

There is a map in CS called fy-glassworld where everything is made of glass (IE: can be broken if damaged enough) including the walls and floor. Is there a similar map in UT?

Yes) Where can I download it from?
No) Can someone make such a map?

TKATK,
What I'm saying is what if the map were like CTF-Chrome and the floor and the platforms and pillars in the bases could be shot out to reveal lava or acid... then the pieces respawn after a while...

Imagine the trouble a redeemer could cause in a map like that...
Reality is that part of imagination we all agree on.

we've discussed stuff like this before, and to be honest, they suck.

it wouldnt work well at in ut and doesnt in any other game either. i wish ppl would stop trying to be half assed about mapping. they either put effort into it, or leave it to the pros. im so sick of "clan maps" and "aim" maps etc. its just an excuse to spam the internet with **** maps.

I know, I know... sometimes I just like to play... weirdly. Like DM - Gael with Redeemer arena, for instance... or DM - TrainingDay with 30 players... and GravVortex arena

Some of those maps are not bad, actually. It's not so much the map structure which interests me as much as the features of that map (sniping posts, teleports, jump platforms, etc); so I kinda liked the cs map fy-glassworld. My cousins and I played it for two whole days continuously... :)

Bizarre maps are not neccessarily a bad thing. They can sometimes generate completely new ideas that haven't been tried before. Perhaps not all of them should be released, but I wouldn't discourage the development of them. Some of the most fascinating concepts seen in maps these days were a result of bizarre experiments like these.

I once made a buzarre map... Consisting of 1024 movers for the floor, which collapsed if shot onto. It was an experiment map, I wanted to see how it would look like. Well, it looked like a giant cube.

PS: Any ideas how to recover a lost map in formatted disc???
