Well, I guess you could say that technically speaking, nothing is 'done'. Yes, there are many things which are in the game, but they are all just now being tested in our first official Internal Release.

This means of course, that until we testers have time to go thru everything, we can't really confirm anything as being 'done'.

To give you an idea of what is being tested now;

Grapple
Gravbelt
Jump Boots
Respawn Protection
Heart Beat Sounds
Laser Trip Mines
Melee weapons
Gravity Vortex
ERDW
Chaos Armor Shard
ChaosUT2:Evolution Menu/Config Screens
Axe
Sword
Spray Paint
King Of The Hill
CUT news tab in CUT Config Menu

Big list. And the beta team just got their hands on this last night. Imagine the testing which must be done.

Just to pick one random example, the heartbeat sound. Chaos has always had this when a player's health gets low. It starts slow, and speeds up as you get nearer to death. Other players hear your heartbeat too, by design. But what has been found in this first IR is that the heartbeat sounds can be heard from too far away.

There is a currently unknown amount of such examples. We will take some time of course to try and assure that we see them before you do.

Oh, and here it is, just one day later, and Jb is telling us about his efforts to get the crossbow added, to be tested in IR2.

So, things are moving along.

Amazing....

Truly amazing how much is already accomplished in UT2K with it only being out on the market a few months. Really too bad this kind of effort wasn't given on Chaos Arena. Quake 3 is still the best online FPS game ever created IMO. Stable and fast and great skill required to be good. UT is ok but the pace of the game is so damn slow. UT2K isn't much of an improvement from what I've seen in the demo.

Glad you guys are getting things rolling on this though. Good luck with it.

Thanks for the input. I know everyone has a different view of the game and how it plays but some of he die hard UT fans dont like UT2k3 as they say it plays too fast and reminds them of Q3 8O

With the jumpboots; you probably know this but the mesh was included in the game. In the INA UT2K3 forum for user mods there's a mutator that adds the jumpboots. Seems pretty cool, hope it'll be like this in CUT2, you can toggle them on and off.

Yep, that's the exact model I used :)
