Eh, it's not a problem.
That said, I understand Australia gets screwed up the bum in terms of game releases/prices, so it's perfectly understandable to be a cheapskate.
If you're looking for fun, free games, I would recommend:
Freespace 2 Open - Award-winning Sci-Fi Space combat simulator from 1998 gets an extreme upgrade by the Freespace Open team, a highly dedicated team of coders and modelers. Installing everything is a little complicated, so I would recommend downloading it here, though it requires a bittorrent client. This site is also a good resource if you're confused or having trouble installing and running the game. I highly recommend playing this.
FEAR Combat - The entire multiplayer experience for FEAR: First Encounter Assault Recon (Warning: This thing takes up a lot of space and is a real system hog).
