VR headset users here?

For any VR users here, I was just wondering which you think is better for a starter, the Valve Index or the Oculus Rift S. I've been eyeing the VR scene for a while for games like DOOM VFR and HL: Alyx, so I want to get myself a headset but I'm not sure whether to start small with the Rift S or go all out with the Index.

I did do my research of course and looked at buyer's guides like this one, but I'd love to hear from an actual user of one of these things to see what you recommend.

I don't have any experience with them.
However I would personally avoid Oculus while they require login to facebook to work.

Yes that would definitely be a hindrance.

So I ended up buying the Sony Playstation VR headset when I bought my ps5.

That would make sense with a PS5

Meta have now dropped the need to login to FB with an occulus, but I think I would still avoid it
