You will loose all information about installed UMODs, i.e. you can't uninstall them anymore. Also User.ini and UnrealTournament.ini are reset to their defaults.

Thanks!!

Live life on the edge. I have reinstalled Q2/UT/UT2 so many times it's second nature to me.

(SNIP!)

Burn your favorite mods to CD, as well as the bonus packs and stuff, favorite maps, and models, etc, and then just play and have fun. Should some mod or mut mess you up, smile, delete everything, and start reloading from CDs.

I've done it for years, and it works for me. Just a thought.
A thought I'll go by. Thanks! I do realize I use smaller mods and muts rather than the well debugged stuff of say CUT or other major mods. It doesn't take forever to reinstall. And like 5 minutes to reset my preferences. I even prefer Malcolm, just one face from the default skin (Dude's got some cool shades, what can I say.)

Just smiling and starting over if **** happens. Very Zen.

PS: burning maps and mods to CD is A Good Idea. Who knows when servers will stop hosting UT content in favor of 2k3 or whatever? A number of old sites are down already- or at least, they're not being maintained or updated.

Get all that where you like it, and backup your user.ini along with the rest. Chop that 5 mins down to 1 or less.
