What do you mean? They e.g. dont die when falling into lava or acid? Last time I tried that, they did...odd...

OK lemme rephrase that , they arent affected by "some" damagevolumes like the one in gael for example.

Actually there is no Volume involved which kills the player but a KillZone... ;)

Ok proxy no longer lives. He just disappears for now. Same thing happens to epics rockets, fire a rocket in there and it dissapears...

The problem is fixed, but it is a bit odd how they could "live" in killzones. I tryed to get into killszones in many ways, ghosting into it, shooting things down there that would get destoryed, and even used god mode and still died and yet the proxy is left alive. Does killzones only somethings and not everything?

Nice to see the problems are being fixed. Any luck on fixing the grapple bug (when you would lose it) yet?

Back onto invasion, have you ever tried using the bulldog in an invasion game? I made a big outdoor map with a bulldog garage in it. It's fun for invasion but unfortunately the map is really laggy. It was one of my first and I am planning on making another one with a bulldog garage and much better framerate.

Anyway, there are a few maps out there with bulldog spawners. Try running over monsters with it. It's not as easy as you might think...

Of course, in UT2k4, this concept will probably be taken to a whole new level...

The proxies were something speical. They were not derived off unreal pawns which kill you in the zones nor were they taken from projectiles..so thats why they were not killed. But now they are.

On the grapple..can you give me some more detials on this? Does it happen all of the time? Is there a specific set of events? On-line only? Ect? Sorry I just have been unlucky and never really have seen this yet...

- Proxies now expoded when they hit a Killz zone...so if you chuck them into the BR pits of anubis or gael you see them go proof :)

Yeah, I used a bulldog in Invasion before and while killing the monsters were easy, but for some reason there seem to be a bug that the next round would start before all the monsters died. There would be some left and it jumps to the next round when running them over.

As for the grapple hook, I'm not exactly sure and I only play offline, but I mostly had the problem in Invasion. I think it might be from using it and moving to a spot that the hook can not move me from or something. I don't understand it either, but if it happens again I could maybe grab a log of it.

I wonder how Invasion would be with the vehicles of UT2k4.

Well since there are flying monsters, and UT2004 plans to have large outdoor maps with lots of sky and air vehicles, Invasion could take on a whole new dimension with aerial combat... Imagine going up against an army of warlords in a futuristic fighter plane...
