for the sake of balance, we can just say that the robots are advanced enough to have triple-redundant wiring--capable of withstanding damage and still being able to function.

Now, continuing to add to the idea pool, I have an Idea for another ammo type for the claw2. Rolling bomb: a bomb sphere that does condiderable damage, and has a slight elasticity, ideal for bouncing. Primary sends it rolling until it hits something and explodes. Secondary could send it rolling for a certain ammount of time, and while it bounces off anything it hit that wasnt a player. eh? eh?

That reminds me of that cartoonish-looking gun from Serious Sam... Oh god that was fun.

Yes, something like that would fit so perfectly into Chaos. But those "bombs" were huge, like twice the size of a player... They'd roll over things and kill them so nicely... Then they'd explode after a while!

That could probably be done with physics in UT2003. The model would be easy, it's just a sphere really...

Head-sized, semi-bouncy bombs, careering and careening through the arena!

one of the main points in this Thread for A telsa coil type weapon/ammotype , is the ability to fry a watervolume. Why not implement a similar effect through a differen , already present chaos weapon. For examle . Firing the ERDW into a watervolume could superheat the water , and boil everyone within the volume.

why not just make a chaos lightning gun that is actually fun to use. it can fry people in water and arc between people and maybe shoot precision-guided ball lightning because ball lightning is cool. or it can shoot a modified grapple hook head that sticks to people and discharges doing damage to the person and nearby people. thatd be good for revenge on ctf maybe...

I like the idea of the grapple head ... but you shouldn't be able to shoot and leave.. Maybe make the gun so that when you shoot you have to follow the victime cause your linked to it by a cable. that way you can send a discharge in the same cable and slowly kill you opponent (not to slowly) This would still ba a balance gun since your stuck with your victime while that same one could turn a try to kill you.

this would do like in MK deadly aliance where when you have a sword you can impale the opponent and it would slowly diminish his health.... could be good to for the melee ;)

how about one of those spiffy electricity guns?
Primary: a bolt of electricity that does no damage, but on contact of a water surface it would do extensive damage to anyone in the water.
Secondary: a charge-up ball of electricity that electricutes anyone nearby with charge-varying voltage electrical "wires."
All-in-all: Great in maps with water, but not so out of water.

hey that would be cool..... You could even add a 3rd option: when you shoot you send a bunch of wires around you that electrify ....when someone touch those wires they get shocked.. the lenght of the wires should be randoms and they should move like fire hoses ( in every direction without controle)

This would really make a chaos weapon in a small room but you are dis advantage in big room since poeple can dodge your wires

This is reminding me of my tractor beam idea.

With the tractor beam, you could send a pulse along the beam once it was locked onto someone and do some damage to them that way (but it would drain a bunch of ammo), or you could swing the beam around, using it to throw them about, smashing them against walls and the floor/cieling (they'd take damage based on thier impact velocity), and disengage the beam at any time to send them flying in whatever direction they were moving when you disengaged... If you got shot, the beam would disengage, so someone could get away if they manage to hit you.

The WOK could be used to toggle between push, pull, and hold, so you could drag someone closer to you, push them away, or just hold them at thier current distance so you can toss them around.

I was hopeing to see a gun someday that would be able to grab people and push them into things. *Bows down to Shadowstar, Chaos Idea Master*

I'm having a hard time learning programming  , I'm reading books (read) , but I don't understand them.
