HOME RUN!!!
Now, talking from a very pissed off coder's POV, that's bull. There's a touch() event that's called regardless of where you touch the rocket, that causes an explosion.
And mutators shouldn't change rockets etc (existing items) because imagine how many things would break if two+ mods did this.

thats why you would cut it

I think I read somewhere Sweeny was considering in the next-gen. version of the engine, but that's a long way.

That’s why you would cut it , which would sort of cancel the attack out... i.e. the rocket explodes. (Of course that would be more usefully with a broad sword then a short sword or something)
I didn't mean for the attack to literally cut the projectile in half. It would just explode or dissipate or whatever.

I wasnt saying that it should , or would work that way , I was talking about the Real life technical aspects , not the way the engine handles it , I know that what I said isnt how the game handles it , It is simply how it works in the real world...
you dont need to hit the rocket. just doublejump over it towards the shooter, whip out a melee weapon and slice the bastard up. i did that once in ut and i was kicking ass.

There we go. This is exactly how it's done. Or variations on the theme.
And as Furry mentioned, the previous CUT sword already blocks some bullets, so you can probably expect this to continue.
They had that in JK2 where you could use force push to hurl the rocket back , It never became very popular , Even tho it was by far the most fun mod for that game IMO.
BTW , I feel quite embarrassed for asking this , but how is it that you guys can make your quotes that way(without the word Quote, and with the name bold and stuff) I usually just write in the name and wrote and hit the quote button , but mine don't look like any of you guy's quotes, it seems that even people who have been at these forums a mere 2 days know how to quote properly , Yet I do not... am I missing something???
thx in advance , and sorry for cluttering up this thread with my ignorant question...

I've been dodging rockets and such with my blade for years now. Of course it does not always work, I find that my success rate decreases proportionately to increased skill of my opponent, and my ping.
But many very sweet sword kills have been made in the heat of a 'all weapons' battle. It's always been one of my favorite things.
It's the kind of thing that keeps me playing. Sometimes a night is your average, but fun, gaming, and one sweet sword kill just takes the cake, and sends me to bed with a smile. And some nights it's many more than one.
