A guided vortex might be something to consider...maybe making it an AWO feature?

I wouldnt say its impossible so much as impractical.

The headshot stuff we reduce your headsize to zero then spawn a skull that goes flying away. This works because all playermodels have a head bone, but not all models might have all the bones we look for. Likewise, if you cut off someones leg at the theigh, then you would have to have the code somehow know which bones depend on that one which must be shrunk, copied, and reattached.

Thats not even starting on the actual gameplay effects.

Maybe make an AWO option that makes the vortex go random and crazy...chaotic. :twisted:

Hmm... that gives me an idea...
AWO makes the Vortex more powerful, but more unstable(could open up the second you release, take up to 5x as long to open) and have a reasonable chance that it completely fails and doesn't operate at all...

there was thought of the AWO changing the vortex to "push" instead of "suck"

Also Spa had thought about having two vortex react to each other...the pull towards each other until they touch then a really really really bad thing happens :)

if two vortexes collide.. they should change directions (polarity?) and grow to 5x the size...

That said.. planting a push vortex between your flag carrier and the enemies chasing them could be a great idea.. or a really bad one.

On CTF maps like Face Classic & Face3 the pusher vortex could be quite useful :twisted:

cud be funny on onslaught, been messing with stuff alnight and we found a method to total a levi in seconds. launch 2 vortexes at any facing end of the levi and RUN! :twisted:
oh and if the players considered bailing out. WOOSH! into the vortex you go :D

but now, vortexes that repel hmmmmmm sounds like mayhem *ahem* chaos :D
