It's been done quite a bit actually. the Jedi Master gametype in JK2 was like this, but without the bot. I think there is probably a similar gametype for UT2k4 out there somewhere. It wouldn't surprise me, since it seems to have been done for just about every major multiplayer game recently.

Sword Effects?

Maybe you could slap on some fire/ice/poison effects on the melee weapons. Like, a new pickup that would enable the effects on your weapons.
Then you could have the 3'd weapon option do more than just the change stance dealy.

Imo no more work on duel is needed,its good enuff as it is right now,becouse alot of time has been wasted on it afaik already...Alot of potential in CCTF,and other gametypes...Chaos is all about the gun's,the gametypes,the chaotic-ness of them,not some dripping sword's

Alright, I know my ideas have kinda been a flop, and this isn't a suggestion for Chaos, unless they feel like tackling it.
I think a pro-wrestling mod for UT2004 could kick ass. But that's just me

Muralis and another with a quite like that name focus on hand to hand combat...this is one of thoose rare times i think a idea would fit elsewhere...

If you mean KAKUTOU! it is soon to working properly on a server near you!
Going to test with chaos tonight, I assume it will blow up in duel tho since you cant normally change weapons in duel.

Instead of a Kick, why don't we have a melee attack with each of our weapons? Like jabbing someone with that nasty spikes at the tip of the CUTTER and Crossbow, or giving the Claw back its eviscerating bite, or turning the MUG's air blast into the melee attack, or maybe just a good ol' thwonk with some of the other weapons. The kick could be moved over to the melee weapons.

Yeah, it was more of a general side-note.
But, I was talking about grappling, suplex, pin, submission holds. You know, WWE pro-wrestling style. If that Kakuato game's like that, I am so in8)

heh no, its just a kung fu mutator, allows all players models to be unarmed and use kick/jump-kick/punch/lunge
