I do like the idea of vehicles that become easily killable when moving at extremely high speeds. It just begs for spectacular crashes...
I still think we should allow proxies to stick to vehicles like the 2k4 grenades. I wanna bail out of a careening scorpion loaded with proxies and watch it dissapear behind the wall of the enemy base, followed moments later by a loud explosion, debris flying into the air, and screams - lots and lots of high pitched screams... Then a sadistic little giggle...
Oops, went off into another world there for a minute... Ok, I'm back.

The should be rotating with the Scorpions. If not you have to change a setting in you chaosut2.ini in the chaosgames.chaosut section (or just remove your current ChaosUT2.ini and a new one will be created for you with the proper settings). I am at work atm and can not remember the name of the setting (bDontuseChaosvehicles=false i think). Also you can summon them (summon chaosut.bike).

Also to add, give us some feedback on the bike when you have it.
Here is what we know with the bike:
- We know it leans the wrong way when you turn. That may be a issue with the engine as its all native physic code that does the leaning.
- I screwed up and did not realize that we had a better driver setted postion for female models so that will be fixed. In the very next release. We almost help up the PR3.6 but due to the contest deadline we figured it was not that big of a deal. Again my fault.
- And we know that the front wheel does not turn. We can and will tweak that.
So what else do you think about the bike. Yes its weapon (the rockets) are not very usefull as an offensive weapon. But it can cover the forward area and allow you to get in/out quickly which is what we wanted to do. We wanted the bike to be a fast attack craft that only softens up an area not destroys it. Its not a mobile weapons platform. Any other ideas, issues and suggestions you have about the bike?
ALT FIRE SHIFTS THE GEARS!!!!
BTW thanks to Loq and Mel for all there work...

Same with me Jb and I had a clean installation.
EDIT: Found the problem, if you run chaos via comunity and then turn the mut on it won't bring a bike. If you keep the mut off (wich doesn't care because it is on anyway) the bikes will show up.

Deep/Lonewolf
make sure in you chaosut2.ini, in the [ChaosGames.ChaosUT] section you have this set to false
bDontAddChaosVehicles=False

The gears just aren't necessary, in my opinion. It adds a level of depth that isn't present in the other vehicles, which makes it odd. Why would I need to shift gears in this vehicle and not in the others? It's just inconsistent.
I would prefer a rocket boost option, but that's just me.

I believe the Bike was intended as a Flag carrier vehicle and for that the boost would be unbalanced .

Make it less maneuverable or jittery to drive while boosting, make it take more damage, or have every AVRiL or Raptor missile fly towards it when the boost initiates.
Or, make the flag fly out of the vehicle when it moves too fast. That would be funny.

Ok I agree and hear what your saying. But the other weapons dont have an Alt Ammo key nor a AWO key either. Besided most cars sold in the US have automatic transmissions, most bikes don't

The clone wars mod has a bike with a rocket boost..I wanted us to be different.

Merly a jest..
yup,merly oh merly
ontopic imo the gear switching is a nice idea,no more complaints about it being too fast or too slow!

A few suggestions for the bike, but first, this:
How many gears does it actually have?
Back to the sugestions...
Can you make it so that mouselook steers the bike?
Doing that would then free the strafe keys to activate leaning (in the right direction). In conjunction with this, allow the physics engine to do what it clearly wants to do and have the bike flip and dismount the driver if they don't lean into the turns... (as I'm sure most of you know, leaning ito the turn on a bike is entirely up to the rider)
Make it much easier to downshift and, finally:
Redo the gear ratios so that low gears offer high torque, high acceleration and low top speed with maximum manouverability and climb rates, while higher gears give decreasing acceleration, but increasing top speeds. As it is the bike seems to handle more easily at high speed which just feels wrong.
