There certainly seems to be significant demand on both sides of the issue. If this doesn't warrant a user-configurable option, I don't know what does.

We can try to up the damage some. But given use selectable damage does not make sense. If it did, all of our weapons would have that option..

Maybe a simple setting: bVengeBoost

if true, it triples the amount of damage done by vengeance effects. This could then go hand-in-hand with the explosion toggle to allow people to decide exactly what kind of vengeance effects they want to have.

i think just adding a large knockback to spirits would make them feel alot more powerfull, currently i would call the knockback as a slight nudge

Thats very true..but thats the effect we were going after :) But I bumped up just a bit the damage and kick on both. We will test it to make sure it was not too much...

How about changing the ROV explosion to release tons and tons of small energy particles which swarm towards the nearest targets. Each particle can maybe do 1 or 0.5 damage.

Because your framerate would drop to near 1 fps if you were looking at it directly.

Particles dont do damage, they're not actors. To make it work, you have to spawn actors and attach an emitter to each one, or at least attach a corona to each. Actually, a corona would probably be easier on the framerate, but its still a major hit.
