Relic: The Gathering
EDIT: I also figured out how to run Colossus without throwing: Colossus Relics; two spawn on each map and the first person on a team to find their (team coloured) Colossus Relic becomes the colossus. As the colossus, each time they pass within a certain range of one of their teammates with a relic, they suck that relic out of their teammate. The will'o'wisps should find the colossus', like they find the flags in CCTF. Maybe "normal" players should only be allowed one relic at a time?

I know this has probably come up before, and this might also look like a pathetic attempt to get my ideas more attention, but have you guys noticed a certain Portal-based shift in the mod community lately? Everyone and his dog seems to be putting portals in everything from toasters to superguns.
Anyway, I thought it would be cool if Chaos had its own, suitably twisted version; If two vortexes are ever active on the map at the same time, they become giant floating portals rather than swirly death...
What's the twist you ask?
Well, each vortex is still on its own timer and as soon as there's only one left, it reverts back to normal operation. Even if you're already inside...
Also, I had a mad idea for Horde Hunters: Each wave randomly spawns a Barbra who screams a lot and runs away from the monsters. If she's still alive at the end of the round, everyones points are doubled. The monsters like Barbra.

I like the portal idea. There should be a scroll to town portal kinda thing, you know, like in the Diablo series...

'Nother mad idea; Proxy-guided Avrils:
An alternate ammo type for the AVRiL, it basically looks like an avril with a proxy instead of the regular warhead. They forgoe the normal AVRiL lock-on system in favour of the "intelligent" guidance provided by the Proxy, which can vary the missile's thrust in order to attain a tighter turning circle as well as accelerate faster. The primary drawback is of course the slightly chaotic nature of the proxy itself, which might not go after the exact vehicle you wanted, but there you go. Additionally, since the guided lock on is no longer neded for this system, the secondary fire has been replaced with the bouncing version: The proxy-guided rocket is fired with it's visor down and much of the detonation circuitry in standby, causing the missile to veer wildly and bounce off terrain randomly until the jolting wakes up the proxy and he goes on the hunt, attacking nearby targets of opportunity...

Golden Proxy. New super weapon with silver face, gold helmet and crown. Slightly slower, but bounces higher. Way higher. Like Torlan Tower higher. Plays either the Hallelujah Chorus or Ride of the Valkyries on the way down...
When it goes off, it sends out a sphere of light to a certain radius which lasts about half a second, flashes, then vanishes. This should be completely silent. In fact, if possible, it should mute every other sound on the map for a second or two...
When the flash (like an EMP grenade only brighter) wears off, everything within the sphere has vanished/left behind a burning skeleton.
It'd be even cooler if it could take a spherical chunk out of any terrain/bsp it hit, like the Time projection bubble in the Terminator movies.

Or you could just go with the actual Holy Hand Grenade mod, by Angel Mapper. But her version's boring; it just goes boom...
